Ship in the Sea
This is one of my latest woodburnings. I started by burning in the ship onto a 16x20 piece of birch. Then I filled in the background with tiny squares cut from magazines for texture. Finally, I painted over the magazine squares with acrylic to create the blue sky and water. I really love how this came out, and it is perfect for any New Englander who is a fan of the classic seascape. This piece is currently for sale at the art gallery Zullo located in Medfield, MA.

Oh my goodness, that is AMAZING! Good job. I came across your blog while researching for a new post on my blog, also dedicated to pyrography. I thought this would be a great chance to network. I look forward to following you and seeing more lovely work!
